Aroma is smoked ham, bacon. and salami. Appearance is dark brown bordering on black. Flavor is of dark malt and a variety of smoked meat. A cookout or a meat lover's pizza in a bottle. I can see people being weirded out by this experience but I think its an excellent beer even better than Stone's Smoked Porter. Panzuriel (995), Westerville, Ohio, USA

It is enjoyable for a depart from normal beer tastes. Smoky smooth with roasted nutty hints. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

Intense, woodsy aroma that hinted of pepperoni. Smooth, roasted malt taste with mild bitterness. Medium-to-full bodied mouthfeel, moderate carbonation, and a long lasting, balanced finish. Smoky flavor as well along with malt and a hoppy aftertaste. Medium bodied. Very enjoyable, but you can only have it once in a while. Fish (439), Kure, Japan

Very dark brown body, quickly receding tan head. Definitely a very smokey aroma. Medium carbonation was nice, The sweetness of the malt is very well balanced with the smokey taste. The aftertaste is also very pleasant, perhaps a little spicey, reminiscent of a fine smoked gouda cheese. At any rate, this is a style I’ll need to look at more closely in the future. steview (902), Los Angeles, California, USA
