Probably wouldn’t want to have more than 1L of this at any one time because the flavor is a bit strong, but I felt it a great sitting beer. BartC (402), Lichtaart, Belgium

Not too over the top, with nice woody and ham tones on the nose and palate. Easy drinking and very enjoyable. Pours a beautiful dark amber red too with good head retention. All in all very goo. raymondwave (878), Finland

Packs nice hoppy bitterness underneath the rauch. Re-rate: This has slowly grown to be one of my favourites. I keep finding new twists from it. It’s much more than just rauch.. and toffee. Lovely in mouth, very smooth, with a little acidity. Flavourful but still quenching. cking (1041), North Canton, Ohio, USA

Pours a clear dark brown with a red tint. Thick, bubbly tan head coupled with stringy lacing. Smells like a wonderful campfire, lots of wood and smoke as well as a familiar pale lager aroma that thins out the heavy smoke. Body is lighter than anticipated. Malty and moderately bitter. Flavor is pretty straight forward with heaping doses of smoke, meat, and wood. A fun and interesting beer, I do enjoy this unique style. Their Urbock seems to be more to my liking though as it is thicker and heavier. dkingsella (92), Portland, Oregon, USA

Aroma and taste both very smokey...smells and taste could be described as a camp fire or smoked meats. Goes great with smoked gouda and cheddar. I suspect it would pair well with any smoked cheese or meat. Very good smoked beer. BeerFanDan17 (626), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA
