ABV is 6.0%. Amber coloured beer, low head. Aroma of moderate fruity American hops - on the second tasting I also found aroma elements of Belgian saison yeast, maybe just my imagination, because I was misinformed about the yeast used here (no saison yeast has actually been used, only Ægir’s normal California ale yeast). The flavour is distinctly hoppy throughout (American hops again, Columbus if I remember correctly), but there are also some faint hints of farmhouse. A quite nice autumn beer.

Very refreshing citric and spicy aroma with a hint of bread. Flavor is caramel, malt, fruity and a relatively sharp bitterness. Medium body and a fine bitter finish. This is flavorful and easy drinkable in gallons after gallons. OleR (2111), Oslo, Norway

A clear, sparkling, deep copper colored beer with a low, foamy offwhite head. Fruity hops up front, followed by fresh yeast scent and a smell of carmell/toffee. Also some quite pleasant perfume notes, probably from the yeast. Taste has a bold hoppy bitterness, earthy and slight fruity. Sweetish, light caramelly malt body. Feels clean and crisp in the mouth. Lingering bitterness in the finish. Well-made, super drinkabilty. gunnar (600), Sandnes, Norway

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 13, 2009 Tap at Nærbø Ølmesse and Cardinal. Rated at Cardinal 11.11.09 where it was served a bit too cold. Pours clear golden with an off white head that lasts. Toasted caramel malts on the nose (remember the aroma as more dry hopped at Nærbø). Moderately sweet and bitter in the mouth with an averagely lasting finish. Medium bodied with a syrupy texture and soft carbonation. Well balanced and a joy to drink! Ægir has had a lot of positive feedback on this one, and thankfully they’ve promised a bigger release of this excellent brew next autumn. tarjei (1762), Bryne, Norway
