Dark roasted malt aroma, even some notes of tar and liquorice. Taste is full of the same, even some herbs, for such a low alcohol brew, this is a superb brew.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 13, 2009 500 ml bottle bought at Ægir. Pours black with a rocky, light brown head that vanishes completely. Exciting toasted coffee, licorice, faint soy sauce and leather nose, and chalk or cellar (like with fernet branca). Light sweetness and acidity, like a soft milk stout. Medium to full bodied creamy and with soft carbonation and an acidic finish. After writing the initial rating, I had this with a grilled meal including meat, sausages and oven baked potatoes. That worked splendidly, adding another point to the overall impression. joergen (8627), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 17, 2009 Flaske 0,5l. Svart med litt brunskjær. Lysebrunt skum.
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 17, 2009 Bottle, 4.7%. Roasted aroma, hint of fruit. Cloudy appearance, almost black. Semi-stable brown head. The flavour is nicely roasted, there is some fresh coffee, a little cream. The mouthfeel is a little thin, but that is to be expected from this relatively low ABV. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 11, 2009 Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yngwie. Opaque dark brown - almost black - with a creamy, light brown head. Medium body, hard roasted malt and vanilla with a light underlying tartness, from the malt I reckon that also leave quite some bitterness. 040409
