Commercial Description:
Appely Brut it is just off-dry, floral, with earthy tannins. It is inspired by French Country Ciders, and crafted from a blend of modern and heirloom apple varieties.

Backlogged Entry - From GTMW ’09 - Pale gold color with a strong apple aroma...sweet and inviting. Flavor is intense apple...high level of tartness, but a balancing sweetness. Dry finish makes this a pretty good ride for a cider. Very solid rendition of the style!

Very pale yellow with next to no head. Very sweet aroma of apple, apple skins, spices. Very tart and dry body taste of apple, apple peel, tannins and spices. Reminds me of champagne with its effervescence.

[Bottle] shared by skyview. Pour a clear whitish with a med rocky white head. Very sweet aroma, caramel apple, apple crisp. Flavor is sharp, tart, dry, some alcohol, overripe apples, and a little vinegar.

(bottle from Skyview) Pours light gold with a white head that quickly dissipates. The aroma of this beer is just excellent, like biting into a fresh (McIntosh?) apple. Besides the apple, there’s really nothing much else, but it matters not. The taste was a little disappointing, the apple aroma would indicate sweetness, but it was actually very dry with a mineral water-like finish that I wasn’t a fan of. If the taste had even halfway matched the aroma, this would be excellent.

From skyview. Big, sweet apple aroma. Light gold color. Surpriisingly dry for a product with an aroma so sweet. Some yeast in the flavor as well.

Thanks to Skyview! Light yellow color and a thin head. Honeyish aroma. Very dry apple flavor and bordering on paperish. Highly carbonated.

[Bottle, thanks Skyview!] Pours really pale gold with a small white head. Aroma is very nice; as others at the tasting noted, it is exactly the same smell as when you bite into a fresh apple. Somewhat tart apple taste blends fairly well with the high level of carbonation, but it is lacking compared to the aroma. A fairly dry finish. Overall a very nice aroma, but otherwise just a solid, if not fairly simple, cider.

Picked up a 750 ml bottle at Mars Cheese Castle near Kenosha, Wisconsin, just off of I-94. Pours a sparkling light straw cider with plenty of fizzy fine bubbles that takes a few minutes to fully dissipate to a thin white ring. Aroma of well-blended apples that have character of crisp and dry Coeur D’Ane apples, light floral scents and a touch of dry yeast. Taste is spritzy, slightly dry with a crisp dry apple cider flavor with a nice balance of carbonation that matches the flavor. Finish has a light yeast and crisp dry apple finish that slowly disappears and laves only the apple aftertaste flavor. Most impressive cider aroma I’ve tried that made this cider most memorable.
