Yes, fig. Pear and fig carries over into taste with definite notes of fresh baked bread as well. Slightly tart but pleasant finish that’s hard to precisely define. An interesting and very enjoyable Belgian Ale. checkmatei1 (630), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 10, 2008 Pours a hazy golden color with a thick foamy head and nice lacing. The aroma is a spicy yeast with tons of fruity esters and a little coriander. The flavor is really refreshing. Lots of apple skin, banana, clove, and toffee. A pretty sweet flavor, but not too sweet. The palate was pretty nice as well. A thin carbonation but it was pretty creamy. Enjoyable, especially for the price I got it. changeup45 (800), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 9, 2008 This is not your typical drink in the sun kind of beer I thought I might be getting. It’s better than that. Pours a peach color with a huge creamy off white head. Aroma is banana, cloves, vanilla, yeast and perhaps some oranges. The flavor is yeasty with more of the same citrus fruits (banana, oranges) with a touch of fruity malts. Mild spice to it. The finish to aftertaste is just a tad off though. The flavor right off the bat is quite nice but it doesn’t really finish off that way. Sort of a little metallic feel. Still, this is a nice and smooth, easy to drink brew with a good amount of flavor. ebrowner88 (113), Rice, Minnesota, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 8, 2008 Hazy straw yellow. Half a finger head that won’t go away. Acidic taste with a dry finish. Nothing special. Tastes like it may ne an old bottle. 49markan097 (9), USA does not count | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 7, 2008 Had a nice big draft in the appropriate glassware but could not detect any aroma. Beautiful golden orange color with decent head. Mild citrus taste complementing that nice, sweet abby taste. Nice, rounded body. Overall was expecting more flavor but very drinkable.
