A pretty tasty light beer. Pours golden, with a bittersweet fruity and yeasty flavour to it.

Pours clear gold / yellow with a sizable head. Aroma of japanese soy sauce, a little yeast, corn and some malts. Sweet and sour flavour, not unlike applejuice. Some citrus (lemon). Hops are slightly skunky. This one is not particularly spicy. Mild, basic belgian ale. Full bodied. Lasting finish of mild bitterness.

Affligem says their first batch was brewed for some pilgrims in 1128. I love watching brewers compete over who has the longest history. This had a nice, fizzy head and a lovely aroma. The flavor reminded me a of a hefeweizen with citrus notes. It is not as sweet and spicy as some other Belgians I have tried - it is more robust with a hoppy tingle in the finish. It is also less expensive than most abbey ales. However, the lingering, bitter, lemon peel finish keeps it from being first rate.

The beer pours a golden yellow, with a nice froathy, lightly sticky head. Aroma is yeasty, fruity, and spicey, pretty standard for a belgian blonde. The flavour is at first sweet, th middle presents some light fruit flavours sort of a white grape cocktail flavour, the finish is like every Affligem beer i’ve had so far, sour. All and all the beer is pretty decent. The best one so far, out of the Ale, the Dubble, and the Tripel.

Poured a hazy gold color with a small off-white head. Yeasty semi-sweet aroma with fruits and spicy notes. Malty flavor with yeasty and spicy notes. Semi-dry mildly bitter finish. Lively mouthfeel.

Bottle shared with a friend. Poured with a frothy white head in an Affligem trappist glass. Nose was of yeast, coriander and a touch of malt. Taste was similarly of malt, bananas, with a dash of cloves. Easy finish, and oddly refreshing.

Very fruity, bananas, cloves, really sweet malts. Not a fan of Blonde ales but will go so far as to say I would try it again if it was presented to me.

Golden slightly carbonated Belgain ale, with good amounts of hops and balance. An easy drinking Belgain abbey ale with deliciousness by the mile....
