Hazy golden color with medium white head. Aroma little malty, a bit yeasty, fruity. Medium body. Taste yeast, sweet, some bitterness. Dry finish.
Very drinkable abbay blonde. patty26 (95), New York, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 6, 2007 Pours a translucent golden color. I could see my finger on the opposite side of the glass through the beer. Small thin white head with a minimal amount of lacing. Smells of cloves and sweet fruit (not quite citrus). Very drinkable brew with a good amount of carbonation that really compliments the mouthfeel. The fact that I can pick this one up at the local grocery store for $11 a sixer gives it a slight bump in my rating. cheapdark (2024), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Aug 6, 2007 This is a pretty inexpensive Belgy. $1.50 at the Vintage Estates in Boardman. Just as cheap as Rare Voss. Alkaline hints support a unique session. Looks like any other american pale lager. The foam is a little more thick with fine bubbles. The palate carbonation is creamy above average fine tingliness. Building bitterness on the back of the throat ans sides of the palate but not very intense. Not quite as good as Ommegang Rare Vos but on par with Zot and Lagunitas #10 (formerly #9) JustinBathurst (134), Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Canada
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 5, 2007 Poured a cloudy apricot with lots of carbonation trails and a frothy cream head (which never let even a small bit of the beer’s surface peek through).
The aroma was lemon, hay-like hops (in great, electric abundance), cloves, and allspice.
The mouthfeel was smooth and somewhat creamy, with peppery carbonation.
The taste was a bit wit-like. Sweet bread dough, sour apple (but no trace of any cider), cloves, and a tiny touch of banana. The finish was mildly bitter, but built over the course of the beer. As it warmed it became a bit astringent, which makes me feel like it was actually more like an 8.5 for flavour.
Quite a nice beer. Much better than the Orval I had a couple nights ago. mgumby10 (1858), Jupiter, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 5, 2007 Pours a light amber color with a medium white head. Smells of spices, cinnamon, and citrus fruits. Nice aroma to it. The taste was much the same, had a decent little spice to it, the citrus was more mild. Refreshing and easy to drink, was a little bit dry in the finish which leaves you reaching for more. Fairly solid blonde. Ethereal (1500), London, Greater London, England

Pours a thick, clear blonder with a big long-lasting cream coloured head. The aroma and flavour are a nice mix of wheat and citrus notes and the palate is spot on. A classic refreshing blond beer that I come back to time and time again. yespr (12228), Copenhagen O, Denmark
