Affligem Blonde

From the bottle, poured into a 20oz Tulip pint glass. Pours a sort of cloudy blonde, with a nice thick head leaving a beautiful lace. The brew gives a very aromatic blend of fruit and spice. Though the taste dissipates rather quickly the flavor is rather pleasant and hoppy with hints of fruit and spice, afterwards leaving a bit of a sour and malty finish. Overall, at 6.8% a worthy brew for beer lovers the world over or anyone adventurous enough to try!

Poured from keg, a clear light amber with a thin white bubbly head. Subtle sweet fruit aroma. Good level of carbonation, with subtle fruit flavours and a dryish finish.

330ml Bottle: Pours blond as promised with a big thick head, which quickly fell into a thin lacing across the top. Aroma of hops, grain, yeast, citrus, and something sweet I can’t put my finger on. Taste is quite strong on alcohol and very hoppy, albeit not at all bitter. Definite spice, but it makes way into a somewhat unpleasant aftertaste. Not bad by any means, but not to the level I’ve come to expect from Belgium.

23/05/06 Almost golden body, almost compact head but fairly lasting. Nothing really stands out, sweet with some spice, easy to drink though.

Bottled(250ml). –Bought six pack of this in Atac supermarket in some place called Jougne, France. Yeasty and fruity nose, fruity and hoppy aroma with some weak bitterness and alcohol notes.Quite nice brew.

This poured a lovely, clear deep golden colour, with a medium sized white fluffy head that went away at a medium pace. The nose is very hefeweizenish, yeasty, kinda fruity, yet dry, with distinct notes of banana, bubblegum and cloves. Nice. The taste is a bit of a letdown, yeasty/spicey, sweet, cloves, banana and bubblegum again, some metallic hints with a low key, but persistent hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. Quite interesting, good even, better than Leffe Blonde, but not flashy. I could swear this has wheat in it... The bottle looked different than the picture here, so i guess it’s the french "version"....

Bottle. A cloudy amber coloured pour with a large head. A musty, hoppy aroma with hints of banana. The taste has more hops and banana with some sweet malts in the finish. High carbonation. Nice.

Bottle. Like most people I found it to be pretty average. Pretty good hop dryness and clean malt taste, but has an unpleasing aftertaste.
