Draught. Poured a 3/4 inch foamy white head atop a pale amber-gold turbid body. Aroma was honey and nectar, slightly acetic, and orangey bordering on sour. Flavor was honey and spicey orange, very lightly rooty, undertones of banana and clove, and spicy-citric hops. Palate had a creamy carbonation. Lovely ale.

Draft at Wilde in Chicago. Pours reddish golden color with medium head. Light body, higher carbonation than other blondes I’ve had. Still goes down easy, and the spice, fruit, bread, and honey hide the alcohol. Not a bad aftertaste.

Pours an unclear golden colour with a large head. Aroma is mostly yeast, with hints of spices. Very creamy. Flavour is slightly lacking in intensity, mild yeasty aftertaste, quite similar to Leffe but with less of a punch of flavour and a nicer mouthfeel.

Been awhile...
Poured out a nice but small white head with fine bubbs, some sticky lacing all sitting on top hazy, dirty lacing. The aroma is beyond light with notes of lemon, yeast and its mid range spice... that’s it. The taste is close to the same with more blandness and dry peppery spice, slight banana and lemon. Very crisp, not quite thin, quite drying. It gets it done I guess. Refreshing and not much else.

33cl bottle. Pours a hazy golden colour with a big white head. The aroma is quite similar to a good weizen (citrus, banana, bread, yeast), just a bit more fruity and spicy. Good fruity flavour, of course not as deep as other ales. The body is quite thin with high carbonation. The finish is dry and alcoholic with little bitterness. One of my favourite blond ales.

Bottle: Poured a golden color with white head. The aroma is sweet fruit and malt. Taste is very acidic with fruit. This beer missed the mark for me as far as Belgian Ales go.

Golden amber with thick long lasting white creamy head. Sweet grassy hoppy aroma. Rich sweet malt flavor.

if the formula had not been created over a hundred years ago i would say that the flavor here is gimmicky... moderate body it is refreshing and substantive without a hint of graininess. flavor of clove and banana with a full flavored and active foamy head that will not quit. now, there is a refreshing quality and flavor as well as finish of soda pop and particularly 7up combined with a juicy fruit gum flavor that is not wrong for the reason stated at the start of this humble raters text. nice hit of alcohol well hidden quite a nice blonde with an ordinary beer aroma and clean finish.
