750ml bottle, Pours mahogany color, lightly hazy and with a creamy beige head that lingers and leaves some lacing. Aroma is molasses, spice and slightly tart fruit. Flavor is sweet and fruity, peach, raisins, yeast, spice and a lingering bitter aftertaste. Medium body and gentle carbonation. Nice beer.

Bottle from Corks, Bristol. Mahogany coloured with a thick, tight off-white head. Aroma of caramel and red fruit. Flavour was very sweet, to the point of being cloying, with a touch of spice, raisins and a short dry finish. A syrupy residue was left in the glass. Not for me.

I personally was unimpressed with this beer. One could tell that it’s a high quality product, yet it is dull and boring. Doesn’t compare to Affligem Triple. Will pass on next time.

Dark ambar body, tan head. Porto and wine with fruity aroma. Sweet malt taste and good flavor. A little alcoholic.

Fruity aroma with a hint of wine. The taste is rich and sweet - a real monestary double. Not to be drunk in large doses, but still not as heavy as the most complex in the genre.

Cloudy red amber color medium light brown head with not much bubbles seen in the glass. Sweet malt aroma at first but gives way to a wierd mold kind of smell. A definite rock sugar aroma noticed as well. Sweet initial taste transitions to a cherry tartness. Palate is light, not as bubbly as other strong belgiums. A well blended dubbel that handles its alcohol very well.
