| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 19, 2007 Bottle 0,33l. Mahogany coloured. An OK creamy lasting head with lacing on the glass. A bit modest in aroma and flavor for a Belgian beer, but you find spice and fruits. Well balanced with some bitterness in the finish. Thure (143), Aalborg, Denmark
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 1/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 18, 2007 Dark malt, spice and phenolic yeast aroma. Nice brownish head that staies for a while. Darker brown colour. The CO2 is quit filling in the mouth. A bit thin on the palate. The phenolics has a nice ballance with the hop and some caramel flavour. Bitter sweet after taste. Alcohol is a bit intrusive but stayes in the background. Palidor19 (1792), Brandon, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 17, 2007 For a beer that is a double, its a bit thin on the tongue. Its got the flavors of caramel, dark fruits and yeast.. Candy Sugar also makes this worthy but not extravagant. nick76 (2688), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 17, 2007 The aroma is quite nice with candy sugar, yeast, toasted malt, dark fruit, and alcohol. The appearance is hazy brown with a fairly large head. The flavor is like the aroma but more bitter than it needs to be. The palate is thin and the aftertaste is bitter from what seem like tannins. I am not that pleased with this one. LucidityNow (2), USA does not count | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Apr 7, 2007 Bottled. Dark reddish brown color. Creamy head. Fruity scent with some hops. Not much sets this one apart from others. Disappointing after taste. Although drinkable. A slightly above average brew.
