Spiced-nut toffee nose. Beautiful pour of deep red amber; great thick tannish head and wonderful retention and lace. There is an alcoholic spice upfront (of cinammon/ginger/heavy allspice), some peppered caramel malt and yeast in the mid-palate, and some light spice hops to the pull’s end, leaving with an astringent finish. There is a thin, slick mouthfeel to the brew. There does soom to be a large alcohol note to this beer overall (easily could be misidentified due to heavy cinammon/allspice contingency), but overall, a decent offering.

Pours brown with auburn hue. Nice dense head. Aroma is malt, flavor is also. Upfront spicyness with a malty body. Predominantly chocolate maltyness and cinnamon. Slight nuttyness and creamy palate. Nice roasty finish.

Bottle. A dark brown pour with a small diminishing head. A malty, sweet chocolate aroma. The taste has more chocolate malts with some honey. A nice bitter chocolate finish. Average carbonation. Very nice.

750ml 1.5 years old. Spicy sweet aroma. Pours cloudy reddish brown. Spices and fruits along with lots of alcohol for a 7% beer. At first got better as it warmed, then became somewhat astringent an too yeasty.
