Bottle: Reddish-amber coloured, small, but very firm off-white head; fruity (lemon, orange, orange-peel), herbal nose with a tinge of turpentine (?); swee-malty and fruity (citrus) flavour, a bit vinous, too, creamy, but also fizzy mouthfeel; fruity finish with some late hoppy bitterness. O.K. and pleasant, much better than - from Heineken - expected................

Reddish brown hazy hue with substantial off-white head. The aroma was malty and fruity, with some figs, cabernet, toffee, and spice hints. The flavor was also malty and fruity, with that unique Abbey profile that it tough to pinpoint in a description. Velvety palate, but the flavor doesn’t exceed or even approach the world’s best abbey dubbels.

Bottle, at home. Brown with a large light brown head. Aroma moderate malty (brown sugar, caramel) and hoppy. Flavor moderate sweet and bitter. Light to moderate body, oily, lively carbonated.

understated aroma, mostly ripe fruit and some malt. Pours a dark ruby brown, nice head. Flavours are yeasty, prunes, chocolate notes. Finish is slightly sweet with light alcohol. Becomes more enjoyable as it warms up.

Aroma is mostly malt. Pours a dark brown with a nice big head. Flavors are predominately sweet malt, with some spice undertones. A slight, pleasant aftertaste lingers long after drinking. A good ale.
