Dec 20, 2004 It looks better than it tastes, but it’s still not a bad selection. Doesn’t have quite the ’bite’ of alcohol that I like in a beer of this type.

Dec 17, 2004 I have to buy a $16 gift pack with a glass to get one bottle of this - one tasting is not enough so I will be brief.... I found the body too light and the taste rather uninspiring. I need another try, it was just beer this time.
(The crystal glass is great though.)

Dec 17, 2004 Looks like a piece of liver with toasted meringue.
Smells like the thick aroma of an orchid; vanilla and pineapple upside-down cake with maraschino cherries and one button mushroom.
I taste oak and cedar; Milk chocolate malt balls, dark chocolate covered cherries with a splash of ouzo, and a scratch-n-sniff still-life of button mushrooms on the wall.

Dec 12, 2004 Bottle. Pours mahogany color, lightly hazy and with a creamy beige head that lingers and leaves some lacing. Aroma is molasses, spice and slightly tart fruit. Flavor is sweet and fruity, peach, raisins, yeast, spice and a lingering bitter aftertaste. Medium body and gentle carbonation. Nice beer.
