Poured brown with a medium off white head. Aroma and flavors of dark fruits, brown sugar, light spice, and light alcohol. Semi-sweet with a light to medium body

It looks better than it tastes, but it’s still not a bad selection. Doesn’t have quite the ’bite’ of alcohol that I like in a beer of this type.

I have to buy a $16 gift pack with a glass to get one bottle of this - one tasting is not enough so I will be brief.... I found the body too light and the taste rather uninspiring. I need another try, it was just beer this time. (The crystal glass is great though.)

Looks like a piece of liver with toasted meringue. Smells like the thick aroma of an orchid; vanilla and pineapple upside-down cake with maraschino cherries and one button mushroom. I taste oak and cedar; Milk chocolate malt balls, dark chocolate covered cherries with a splash of ouzo, and a scratch-n-sniff still-life of button mushrooms on the wall.

Creamy foam of good adhesion and duration. Color dark brown much even if not excessive torbid one. Sturdy body. Elegant scent with notes of liqueur, alcohol and humid wood.

Bottle bought in Belgium. Unfortunate flat, tasteless dubbel that has some sour malt and bitter chocolate. Poor.

Bottle. Pours mahogany color, lightly hazy and with a creamy beige head that lingers and leaves some lacing. Aroma is molasses, spice and slightly tart fruit. Flavor is sweet and fruity, peach, raisins, yeast, spice and a lingering bitter aftertaste. Medium body and gentle carbonation. Nice beer.
