| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 25, 2004 Beer pours gorgeous mahogeny with a nice thick tan colored head that mostly dissipates. Aroma is rich with malt and dark dried fruits, i.e. figs and raisins, also light yeastiness and spices. Flavor yield a bit less than the promise of the aroma. Flavors of sweet malt, light yeast, and light spices are present. The finish is dry. This was quite enjoyable. Ungstrup (15253), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 17, 2004 This poured slightly hazy dark brown with a creamy long lasting head. Decent lacing inside the glass.
The aroma is typical Belgian yeast, malt, caramel and dried fruits. Smooth palate with malty sweetness and just a hint of bitterness. Just a touch of alcohol in the finish. MaiBockAddict (1499), Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA
