Best before 11/16/02, pours muddy brown with a huge light brown head that leaves a sticky lacing in my glass. Fruity, yeasty aromas, caramel, chocolate, cherry and plum flavors. Medium to full bodied finishes with a funky sourness. Not what I expected, don’t think I would buy another bottle.

Bottled. Drak amber. Yeasty aroma. Rather lively. Spicy flavour with long bitterness.

Copper coloured with a nice foamy head, quite a competative brew among the Belgian Dubbels. Lots of fruit in the nose and a toffee-bitter finish. Almost like a Westmalle.

Great find for under $8 a six pack -- and readily available here in Chattanooga! Aroma and flavor is of vanilla, raisins, caramel, and chocolate.

Bottled. Ruby colour, coarse head. Aroma of solvent and plastics. Sweetish with notes of almond. Hard, clean malt profile. Artificial lacquer-like finish. has dropped from a wonderful beer to near undrinkable liquid in a few years :-( Could this have something to do with the new owners?

Nice amber color with a quite attractive brownish head. Aroma brings plum and vanilla, but also something strong and spicy. Flavor is fruity from grapes and apples. Some pepper.

Nice dense, creamy head of very fine bubbles. Excellent carbonation that keep the head there for the duration of the drink. Aroma of dark fruits (raisins, dates), caramel and some spices. Color is a dark ruby/brown. Flavor is slightly sour and dry with a bit of chalkiness. Mild spices which are intensified by the alcohol presence. Finish is dry and pasty. Not the best dubbel I have had but still ok.

Dark drown with a little ruby tint. Aroma of caramel malts. Taste is grainy malty chocolate with a bit of hop to round it off. Very good.
