Rather pale coloured for a dubbel with a thin off white head. Creamy Belgian malt aroma that is almost worth a seven. Good fruit and spice in the flavour that is supported well by the good malt. Lovely hint of liquorice in the finish. Decent stuff. hombrepalo (769), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 14, 2008 Bottle from Corks, Bristol. Mahogany coloured with a thick, tight off-white head. Aroma of caramel and red fruit. Flavour was very sweet, to the point of being cloying, with a touch of spice, raisins and a short dry finish. A syrupy residue was left in the glass. Not for me. One could tell that it’s a high quality product, yet it is dull and boring. Doesn’t compare to Affligem Triple. Will pass on next time. lithilorn (176), Covilhã, Portugal

Not to be drunk in large doses, but still not as heavy as the most complex in the genre. Wim (1294), Turnhout, Belgium
