poured a nice dark brown color with a bone color head. A malty aroma with a roasted subltness too it. Taste was malty and mildly bitter and finished with a taste of alcohol.

OK, this Abbey Dubbel is something really special. An excellent head on top of the brownish/readish body. A superb beer.

This is an excellent Abbey Dubbel and may even my best yet. Aroma is chocolate and caramel. Appearance looks about like every other Dubbel Ive had, brownish/red. Flavor is chocolate, caramel, apples, oranges, and berries complex for this style! The balance is perfect as the malt does not dominate. Palate is smooth with no evidence of the 7%. This is a top 10 beer for me!

"I needed vise grips to get the cork out of this bastard but it was clear sailing from then on. The pour produced a mega head - foamy, tan, and with the end result being lacing at its finest. The body was a coppery dark amber sort of thing, and the aroma, well it was simply (!) seriously complex and lovely, featuring fruits and spices. Better yet, it tasted like it smelled. Mouthfeel and finish - yup to both."

One of my favorites. A lot like Chimay Blue but with more maltiness. Great body, aroma, and overall impression. Goes down so smooth at cellar temperature.

This was one of my favorites from my last trip to Central Market. Pors a dark brown with a compact, long lasting white head. Aroma of grapes, almost like a bordeaux. Flavor was malty, fruity, and warming. Not as sugary as some, but on the sweet side. I'll seek this one out again.

Nice brick red color, clear with a huge tan head. Fruity aroma. Malty fruity flavor. Fruity tasting, prunes, raisins. Full bodied. Sweet. Smooth tasting. Good beer.
