Huge yeast aroma, very bready. Flavor is belgian yeast, some spice, fruit, brown sugar and a load of carbonation. Not as malty as I’d hoped.

Brown with a dense grey head. Spicy aroma with caramel and basement aromas. Medium-bodied with a creamy texture. The flavour is medium sweet with only a hint of bitterness.

750-ml bottle Marcello’s Lafayette, LA - Aroma: sweet (sugar) almond, fruity esters of cherry (yeast); Appearance: cloudy with large chunks of yeast, reddish-brown color, frothy tan head, lots of laces; Flavor: sweet (malt/sugar), sour, fruity esters of cherry (yeast); Mouthfeel: light bodied, thin and sticky texture, fizzy-high carbonation, long-dry finish; Overall: high bottle refermented beer with a sweet, juicy aroma and taste with refreshing dry and slight sour finish; however missing the malt aroma and flavor complexity and low flocculating yeast.

Aroma of root beer (yeah, root beer!) Pours brown with fluffy pillowy head (just like root beer.) Flavor has sweet malts and notes of spice, oak, tanin, root beer, cream soda and kandi sugar. Ends on a dry note.

Bottle, 33cl. Pours translucent reddish brown., with tan head. Aroma of sweet dark fruits and caramel, with roasted malt; taste similar, with liquorice notes. Not a bad commercial attempt at a dubbel, but lacking somewhat that certain je ne sais quoi.

Bottle. Rather light brown pour with thick frothy head. The color is a little too light for dubbel but the classical aromas are present, ripe fruit good dark malts and caramel and a hint of licorice. Taste is very much the same only a little watery. Overall welldone.

Appearance is reddish brown, with a thick foamy off-white head. Aroma of roasty malt, coffee and dark fruits. Slightly sweet, medium bitter flavour. Quite lively carbonation, full body. Lingering bittersweet finish.

355 mL bottle - pours a hazy red with a moderate creme head. Aroma is light and hoppy, with a bit of tart fruitiness. Flavour is rich and a bit tart - bitter spiciness at the finish. Heavy on carbonation. Overall pretty nic.
