I liked this beer. Got it from a trade. Pours with a huge head, settles to to a slightly clouded reddish brown. Aroma is typical Belgian and taste is smooth - it finishes warm. Alcohol content is very well hidden. This is not a great Christmas beer -compared to ...Anchor, Corsendok or Delirium

Courtesy of Fonefan. Light mahogany-brown with a red hue and a weak head. The aroma has sweetness, notes of caramel, malt, candy sugar and raisin. The flavour has sweetness, notes of spice, caramel, candy sugar, malt and light citrus. The finish has a spicy coriander bite in the end.

Bottle courtesy of Indybigtom: Poured a cloudy lightly filtrated brown color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and good lacing. Aroma of sweet malt with some nice fruity ester. Taste is a mix between some sweet malt with some fruity ester and some dry fruits such as raisins. Full body with limited filtration and no apparent alcohol. I have to admit that this one was quite good and exceeded my expectations.

Bottle. Seems to be the highest rated Affligem offering. Bought for $5.50 in NYC dark brown sweet nectar with spices, yeast and sugar. What a steal for the price.

[bottle] About 50/50 beer/head. Caramel colored pour. Not a whole lot of aroma, but a little yeast in there. Light mouthfeel. Spicy, yeast, candi sugar, and a little tart.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber with a slight head. Pear aroma. Tastes of pears, banana and bread. Slightly fizzy.

This is pretty dang good. Pours a dark reddish brown color with a foamy light brown medium sized head. Nose is malty and sweet with dark fruits and spice. Taste is pretty smooth and very well balanced... at 9 percent the alcohol content is pretty well hidden and the finish is nice a warming. Everything was one point with this beer.

Cloudy brown beer with a huge rocky tan head. Big aromas of sweet malt and spices. Malty palate, with caramel and a little cocoa, lots of sweet spices, some plummy fruit as well. Smooth, and not a hint of its bruising alcohol. Delicious!
