Cork exploded out, pours a five+ finger light tan head that fades very slowly leaving some lace. Cloudy amber/brown color. Strong carbonation and medium bodied. Malty nose. Flavor sweet, raisin, some spiciness. Clean finish high ABV is not noticeable. $7.70 for a 750ml bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, MA.

Dark ruby with medium head. Sweet yeasty flavor with overripe fruits. Flavor is packed with plums, raisins and toffee. Malty and yeasty with alcohol well hidden.

750 ml bottle. A solid strong ale, though nothing innovative, with some Christmas spice notes. Nice-looking beer with a frothy, light-brown head and cloudy brown body. Heavy aroma of caramel, raisin, plum, grape and light notes of Christmas spice. The flavor is moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Soft carbonation in a medium body. Nice sharpness in the finish. Enjoyable.

Bell’affare.

From bottle, at home. Simple, pretty one-dimensional, but not in a bad way. Tastes like a very simple Belgian trippel with a little bit of Caramunich and some coloring agents. Very clean finish. Enjoyable, but kinda forgettable.

750ml bottle: Cherry brown pour with a thick, whipped head that laces nicely. The nose is spicy, with lots of cinnamon and brown sugar. The sweetness carries to the body, where lots of caramel and toffee join the spice. Esthery yeast adds touches of peach and apple. Easy to drink and perfect for Xmas eve.

Bottle (750ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jerc, mabel & tupalev -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a clear deep ruby with a large somewhat-lasting white head. Aroma of caramel malt, fruit, light spices and a touch of sugar. Flavour’s fruity and malty along with some spices and sugary sweetness. Medium bodied. A nice Xmas beer, pretty good stuff.
