| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 9, 2006 This is a good Winter Belgian. This thing has a great tart yeasty aroma and a lasting head. The flavor is a circus of Belgiam enginutiy...you have the slight malt, tasteful hops and unique character of the magical yeast that make up this beauty of an Abby to enjoy. I know, that’s a bit dramatic but I’m enjoying this one. Aroma was wounderful. Tasted great better than the double very good flavor! Lingering finish. Overall a great beer. Snojerk321 (2024), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 4, 2006 Poured a very deep amber with a light tan head.....with some lacing. Pretty average for a Belgian Christmas beer.....but still very good. Flavor was full of yeast, malt and different spices. yayforbeer (648), Orange Park, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 3, 2006 Sampled at Broudy’s Holiday Beerfest, Jacksonville FL 12/2/2006. Amber-brown colored beer with Belgian yeast and spicy aroma. Flavor was better than expected and right on the mark for a Christmas beer. I also had the Delirium Noel and this was very similar and about equal in flavor and enjoyment. Forced to choose I would probably pick the Delirium, but it was close. Excellent holiday warmer. patrick767 (2052), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 3, 2006 bottle at Fort Wayne tasting - Pours cloudy brown with a huge head that leaves some good lacing. It smells of malt, yeast, and some mild spice. The taste is moderately sweet with the yeast and spices putting in another appearance. It’s good, but did seem a little lacking in flavors to me. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 2, 2006 Aroma of spices and yeast. Pours a hazy brown with a nice head. Flavor of yeast, spices, and some bitterness. Palate is decently smooth. Not a bad seasonal, but I tried Delirium Noel the previous night. Delirium wins out on flavor, aroma, and complexity.
