Aroma is musty dark fruits and a nutmeg-cinnamon spice. Flavor is brown candy sugar with a touch of an apple tang to it. Lots of Christmas spice rolls over the tounge. A very interisting and spice laden brew. Warms as its goes down and very tasty. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA

The aroma was spicy with a load of nutmeg and caramel. The flavor was cinnamon, nutmeg, pepperment, caramel. A very yeasty flavor was present. A slight alcohol and sugary aftertaste. This would be ok in small does. wunderbier (1271), Tampere, Finland

Surprising amount of caramel, rye bread, oranges, toast, browned apples, tea...almost comes across like a west coast brown ale...with spices. Heavily sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter flavor. Moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter finish. Really cool sweet and spicy flavor. Slight citrus twang in the finish. Medium-full body, creamy/velvety texture, fizzy carbonation. Cherries, plums and some other dark fruits show themselves once this warms. presario (3002), Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Big thick head like a brown cloud. Brown beer with interesting ruby highlights. Not much on the aroma. Very tasty cookie flavours with traces of chocolate wafer and grapes. No alcohol in flavour. Zesty finish. Interesting spice and chocolate in the bottom of the glass. Papsoe (15107), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Turns out to be the last bottle for the season; and what a bargain at $10. Big creamy and long lasting tan head. Great fizzy strong belgian brown ale: Easy on the xmas spices and ethanol; a real treat.
