Pours a brownish hue with a halo of a tan head. Aromas of spice, roasted malts, with a slight bitterness. Flavors of roasted malts, honey, raisins with a smooth mouthfeel and finish.

What a murky looking, brown drink. It does sport a fizzy tan head... that soon disappears. The aroma, full of dark fruits, spices, and alcohol with more scents appearing as the drink warms. It’s lively carbonated in the mouth, releasing spiced fruits - prunes and raisins and apples - and sweet malts at an alarming rate. It’s got a nice dry alcohol finish. Quite a tasty warmer, allbeit murky in appearance.

Dark red and very clear in color with a tall off-white head. Very spicy nose with lots of corriander and a touch of fruitiness. This brew has a nice malt sweetness up front with a touch of apple and finishes with a big corriander spice finish that gives it a very dry mouthfeel. Lots of carbonation accentuates the spice even more. A really nice brew, and its priced under 5 dollars a 750ml.

75cL bottle. Medium to dark brown color with a medium head. The aroma is malty, sweet, spicy and Belgian. Flavors are malt, candi sugar, chocolate, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cherry. The synergy of the flavors and the carbonation makes this one of my favorite beers. It can also be aged very nicely if you can do so. Excellent beer. One of the best Belgian holiday beers available.

Amber color with red-tinged hue, with a big foamy head. The nose shows fruity aromas of dark fruits, dry raisins, plums balanced with a hint of mixed spices of cinnamon and clove complimented with a sweet caramel-malted accent. Medium-bodied, palate with fruity, sweety flavors or orange peels, even liquor of grand marnier and caramelized malt, with a touch of acidity tickling the tip of the tongue, finishing with a malted bewitching alcool effect.

75cl bottle10/02 Big grape, plum aroma. Body seems non-existant, rushing to a sharp, metallic, abrupt finish pricking my tongue with almost pleasant fruit/malt...quickly turning into harshness...like the moment you realize you just burnt your mouth with hot food...for a split second beforehand, it seems good, then, aw!...Is this awfully oxidized? I don’t taste leather or carboard...tastes more corked than anything...not much pleasantry after that aroma, all I get is corky sweetness.
