It was also fairly clear with a minimal amount of head. the aroma has a bit of malts, with some spices and maybe some dark fruits. A somewhat spicy taste to go along with their typical sweetness. This was actually quite nice for a standard bar beer. ChillCoat (1029), Concord, California, USA

Pours a dark chestnut brown, slightly murky with a tight, frothy, mocha colored head. Malty aroma with some dates and raisins. Flavor has some toffee elements with a bit of underlying chocolate. Faint notes of spices, very faint, on the back end with mint as well. Mouthfeel is pleasant and creamy. A very pleasant diversion, good winter warmer. diabel (1372), Aarschot, Belgium

Averagily large, frothy, light brown head, which is mostly diminishing. No lace. Red-brownish, clear body. Lots of particles of average size. Nose of cookies. Lightly sweet, moderately bitter initial flavour. Lightly bitter, lightly sweet finish. Lightly alcoholic. Fully bodied. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Nice aroma, but disappointing flavour.
