Good white creamy head, fairly low carbonation. Smells of yeast, and lots of estery candi. Big caramel rush as well, on the nose. Flavor begins oddly wet, some earthiness but then quickly develops a sweeter caramel flavor. Lightens as it warms, with some red fruits, more caramel and moderate phenols. Flavor is all over the place and quite pleasant. Mouthfeel is the highlight though, soft and creamy, with a velvety sweetness. Dosent end too dry or too sweet. Just a well-balanced, solid belgian. jsquire (2107), St. Marys, Ohio, USA
