(bottle, from bierkoning) Hazy reddish amber colour with a big foamy beige head. Yeasty sweet malty aroma with caramel and candy. Sweet flavour, medium body, lively carbonation. Sugary sweet malty taste with roasted notes, caramel and liquorice. Unsatisfying sweetbitter and rather slim finish.

May 17, 2008 0.33 l bottle. Slightly hazy reddish brown color with beige head. Sweetish, toasty and caramelly aroma with notes of licorice, candy and dark bread. Caramelly, toasty, toffeish, yeasty and vinous flavor. Pleasant aroma and very basic flavor.

Clear dark brown color, with nice creamy beige head.
Aroma malts, yeast en a little bit liquorice. Medium body. Taste is very regular brwon ale, malts, little sweet, bit coriander ?, bitterness. Afteratste dry.
Not bad.

Nov 26, 2006 Updated: Jan 8, 2007Bottled. Hazy nut brown, rich beige head. Strawberry esters dominate the nose. Sweet with some papery malt. Bold, somewhat clumsy malt character, lightly resiny finish. A bit simplistic.

Head is initially large, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting.
Body is medium reddish-brown.
Aroma is moderately malty (cookie, caramel), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of clove, coriander, and orange peel.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
