Big white foam that fast goes down to a lasting lase. Small amount of solids. Small plesent typical belgian phenolic aroma. Yeasty taste with medium body. Eaven though the age it is still fresh. First impressions are of earthy hops wrapped in tinfoil. Wow, really aluminum character with hops and some breadiness. Yeast is quite abundant in the nose as well with some alcohol fighting its way through. Taste starts out with brad, yeast and pretty sharp tinny hops. Can’t get away from this metallic character. Alcohol, bread and biscuit take you through the middle to a nicely hoppy (for a belgian) finish. Light mouthfeel. A bit of raw earth in the back of the throat with tin and hops working their way back to meet the earth. The metal seems to work itself out in the flavor but never leaves the aroma. It’s a hoppy blond, good hops, bit empty on the malts maybe, but the finish is pretty good. After half a dozen syrupy blonds, this is a bit of a treat. Very dirnkable and I’ll buy this again.
