Bitter, but still good. Much better than all the other Affligem-beers

Bright dark copper color; creamy head. Malty aroma, sweet, mature, quite fruity (red grapes). Very smooth, balanced, but slips a bit thin in the end. Anyway, a nice bitterness.

Tap, Café De Engel Oldenzaal. Served too cold, so it’s hard to detect any aroma. But the flavor is hoppy and creamy, with just a bit of malty sweetness and pepper. Simple, but nice and well balanced. Hoppy aftertaste with a hint of peach. Bottle: Hoppy, oily, just a bit flowery aroma and flavor. Citric, hoppy, oily aftertaste. Absolutely lovely beer!

Bottle 0,33ltr: Blond hazy brew from the Heineken-stable, one of their best. Pretty sweet and spicy and an fine bitter finish.

Bottle from Dranken Geers. Now this I like. Gold, thin white head. Grassy hop aorma. It’s a hoppy blond, good hops, bit empty on the malts maybe, but the finish is pretty good. After half a dozen syrupy blonds, this is a bit of a treat. Very dirnkable and I’ll buy this again.

cloudy orange colour, giant head with a beautiful lace, yeasty with honeyish notes, lot of carbonation, robust bitterness, long bitter orange finish - some analogies with Orval but there is something undefinable missing
