I did not formally rate this, but I did tell grant the scores I would give it. It is a pretty dry, and slightly hoppy beer. Seems more like a saison and a pilsner than a triple. Pretty drinkable. changeup45 (807), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 9, 2008 Pours a hazy orange color with a real nice foamy head. Aroma is citrus fruits, yeasty and a little grainy. This is very well balanced and easy drinking with the flavors I’ve come to expect from a good Belgian Tripel. It’s got a nice spicy, yeasty, citrus fruity flavor with a touch of hops, a mildy sour note with a clean finish. The alcohol content is hardly noticed (until your body tells you) unless you let the beer warm quite a bit. I have to be honest I got sick of it halfway through the bottle (750ml bottle) but maybe that’s because I’ve had too many Tripels lately. Even as I did work my way through the bottle that foam remains on top which produces a nice amount of lacing. An excellent brew! HughConway (367), Washington, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 16, 2008 Had 750ml bottle. Sadly, I had a movie to catch so drank it a little too fast. Definitely not a good fast drinking beer due to the carbonation. Poured orange-amber with a flat white head in a wide-mouthed wine glass. Smelled fruity/spicy/and maybe a little too yeasty. Tasted like it smelled with slight tones of orange and complex hops. Good body, decent finish- maybe a little fuzzy. Would take over anything on American tap any day. But definitely one of my least favorite Belgian beers.
