750mL into tulips. Pours a fairly clear yellow with yeast floaties and a faily large, white head with good retention. Good sheety lacing. Aroma is excellent: apple pie, strawberry kiwi, booze, maple syrup, candi sugar, white pepper. Fruity, yummy. Taste is very sweet, grainy, a bit watery; contrived. Palate is creamy, a bit cloying. Some warming at the end.

Bottle from Ohtsuki. Rather dark gold with a medium, thick, head. Dry aroma of green apples, dust, and grass. Wow. Dry as hell. Sweeter in the mouth, with honey, riper apples, lemon, and a bit of cream. Rather crisp and light body, though, with lots of carbonation. Finish is nicely bitter, with a bit of honey there too. Good balance, very dry and not at all cloying. Pretty good. Much better than their cheaper beers.

A:Huge head rushed to the top and settled nicely just below the rim of the glass after the pour. It is a beautiful straw yellow color with a steady stream of bubbles racing to the top. S: Oh yes I smell a nice Belgian Tripel. Has a wonderful sweetness about it with hints of spice, honey, yeast, and maybe even a little citrus. T: It’s yummy. Not the best tripel by any means but nice in its own right. The spice and sweetness are perfectly matched and finishes with a taste for fresh made bread and a hint of that citrus I smelled. It’s a wonderful taste overall and the best part is it seems to linger. M: It’s so sparkling and tingling on the tongue. It makes me soo happy. A true joy to drink.

Bottle 33cl. Pours a murky yellow/golden colour with a normal size head and good carbonation. Aroma is hoppy and yeasty, also some sour fruits there with good finish of roasted nuts in the nose, great smell! Taste is a nice balance of sweet and sour, goes down with a nice bit of warmth and a great aftertaste of sour fruits.

What a treat to have this and their Noel back to back. It’s easy to forget how great their beers are, but each time I go back to them they never fail to deliver great taste. The beer has a stunning cloudy golden body, that edges on a light copper. Billowing bright white head gives some life to really nice lacing. Aroma is yeasty, medium sweetness, and fresh apples. Lightly sweet on the tongue with notes of caramel, herbal/earthy bitterness, alcohol, and dried fruit.

bottle, pours a light golden slightly fuzzy liquid, there’s not much aroma (maybe too cold) but hints of caramel yeast and dust. Initial medium bitterness, light sweetness. lots of carbonation with long bitterish finish.

750 ml corked bottle, now available in Norway at Vinmonopolet. ABV is 9.5%. Pours with a huge white head, which slowly gives way to a golden beer. Pleasant typical triple aroma of Belgian yeast, fruit and a mild spiciness. The flavour is fresh and fruity, again with a mild spiciness, alcohol is noticeable but not overwhelming. Moderately sweet, the finish is slightly peppery, with moderate hops.
