The king of the abbey beers. It is amber-gold and pours with a deep head and original aroma, delivering a complex, full bodied flavour. Pure enjoyment! Secondary fermentation in the bottle. (Temp: 8-10ºC)

Good trappist, a bit fruity, could do with a bit more bitterness, but has nice esters in it.

I tried this beer in Barcelona of all places. Nice full flavour, typical sweet and complex palate taste of most strong Belgian beers. Nothing really too different from the other Belgian beers I’ve had(Duvel, Chimay, Rochefort, Bush), but Affligem pulls it off pretty well. No real complaints.

Bottle at home - bought at Fakta (12,- kr.) Clowdy yellow - white head. Yeast, hop, licorice, wheat, citrus, orange. A good typical Abbey Triple, but a wierd sharp pointy finish.

Lovely yeasty and flowery aroma, with a careful alcohol-aroma too. The flavor is very malty, therefore quite sweet, and again a good amount of alcohol, but never too much. Very good balanced. The aftertaste is very much alike the flavor, but of course it has a bitter hopped finish. I hvae decided to give this beer a good rating, because: This beer has no aromas or flavors that are never heard of before, and it is probably not very unique, but it tastes good, smells good, feels good, looks fair and is quite good overall. And isn’t that preety much all you can ask for?

750 ml bottle (a gift from my son on my birthday) : Hazy light golden color with a humongus fluffy white head. Sweet purfumy aroma. Flavor is fruity, spicy and peppery with a lighty sweet/ semi-dry finish. Medium bodied and smooth with lively carbonation.
