Jul 7, 2006 Bottle from Super Saver. Hazy dark straw pour with 2-finger off-white head. Aromas of floral spices, hopcitrus, yeasty funk notes. The flavor was dry, floral, spicy, and citric, with some yeasty funky malt notes as it warmed. Very complex and well balanced, this is an outstanding tripel.

Jul 4, 2006 Very Nice. Very Drinkable. Not as intense or complex as many of the tripels that I’ve had, yet quite enjoyable. Pouring a hazy amber body with a creamy off-white head, it’s got a soapy, yeasty aroma with sweet malt, oranges and apricots, dried flowers, and some peppery spicing. The taste much reflects the aroma, the sweetness taking a honey-like turn, the flowers bittering some, and the alcohol making itself known. It finishes on a mildy bitter/tart note. Jun 25, 2006 Bottle at Hopleaf, Chicago. Didn’t get much more than a sip. Cloudy orange body wth a small white head. A bit bitter in taste with alot of spiciness.

Jun 24, 2006 Cork says 10/03. Pours hazy amber into a trappist glass. Consistent, bright white, micro head does not dissipate. Sweet dried fruit (raisins and apricots) and yeast notes. Full with upfront sweet apricot honey with and a medium, dry sour alcohol finish.

Jun 19, 2006 750 ml bottle - Pours very cloudy with a really huge head. This one has to be poured in stages even if you’re careful. There’s tons of yeast. Before I opened the bottle I noticed more yeast on the bottom than I’ve ever seen in a bottle. The pleasant aroma has plenty of citrus. The flavor is heavy on the sweet malt and yeast, and has a bit of spice, a trace of fruit, and a little alcohol. The mouthfeel is very bubbly and the finish slightly bitter. It’s a good abbey ale, but not outstanding.

Jun 17, 2006 75 cl bottle. I drank the bottle on its expiration date, so I guess it is about 3 years old. Beige, stable rocky head. Dark blond to amber body. Aroma of herbs, some alcohol, coriander, fruits, some lager malt. Sweet orange flavour, more bitter finish. Sticky mouthfeel.

Jun 16, 2006 Bottle. Rich orange-amber beer with a big white head. Spicey, floral aroma with a bit of malt. Sweet malt and spice flavor with a bit of orange fruitiness. Sticky. This one just doesn’t do it for me - too sticky and sweet. Alcohol present.
