| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 19, 2006 750 ml bottle - Pours very cloudy with a really huge head. This one has to be poured in stages even if you’re careful. There’s tons of yeast. Before I opened the bottle I noticed more yeast on the bottom than I’ve ever seen in a bottle. The pleasant aroma has plenty of citrus. The flavor is heavy on the sweet malt and yeast, and has a bit of spice, a trace of fruit, and a little alcohol. The mouthfeel is very bubbly and the finish slightly bitter. It’s a good abbey ale, but not outstanding. bask (305), Leuven, Belgium
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 17, 2006 75 cl bottle. I drank the bottle on its expiration date, so I guess it is about 3 years old. Beige, stable rocky head. Dark blond to amber body. Aroma of herbs, some alcohol, coriander, fruits, some lager malt. Sweet orange flavour, more bitter finish. Sticky mouthfeel. bb (2941), Martinez, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jun 16, 2006 Bottle. Rich orange-amber beer with a big white head. Spicey, floral aroma with a bit of malt. Sweet malt and spice flavor with a bit of orange fruitiness. Sticky. This one just doesn’t do it for me - too sticky and sweet. Alcohol present. bikesandbeers (468), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 5, 2006 bottle. Clody orange with a great thick head. sweet aroma. flavor is sweet and fruity. ends on a slightly sour citrus note, which makes me happy. Light smoth and easy. I may be opverrating this, since i haven’t had a belgian in months, but this seems really good for a macro belgian. DuffMan (2784), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 4, 2006 Orange-amber with chunky yeast sediment churned into a soupy swirl. Fruity with definite citrus notes, spice and yeast add to a complex palate. I’ll say again that triples don’t always capture my attention like some other raters, but I enjoyed this one.
