one of the better beers i’ve ever smelled, and poured a cloudy amber color. The one bad thing about this beer was the price.. of course i did get a huge 750ml bottle, but for 7.50 yikes.
I really like the taste of these beers.. real hard to explain.. taste dark, looks light, and kicks ur ass with the heavy alc content. I think the freakest part about this beer are the floating chunks of yeast in the bottem of the bottle. I would reccoment atleast trying this beer once. AskForJenny (649), Ontario, New York, USA

The flavor is a little rough compared to a Duvel, and this took some getting used to. At about halfway into a 750ml bottle it got good as I got used to it. Good appearance with the nice meringue like head I like and lots of Belgian lace. I have had better. weeare138 (936), Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA

Appears a glowing golden amber with a pillowy fluff of white head on the top of the brew that won’t die.
Smell is of aged cork, pils malt, candi sugar, citrus, mild dough, and citrus.
Taste is of the same aromas with a mild pear and citrus flavor coming through. The odd cork smell and taste really are detracting from this.
Mouthfeel is of caramel sugar and some spices lingering about. It was ok. beerbill (1954), Laurel, New York, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 2, 2006 750 ml bottle, corked. I had to use a pair of pliers just to get the cork out. Pours a somewhat cloudy honey color with a hugely over-carbonated head. Strong aroma of yeast and alcohol. Slight citrus in the nose as well. Starts out sweet tasting with lots of cirtus, yeasty in the middle. Then a noticable off-flavor, almost like modelling glue, kicked in. I see this beer is very highly rated, my bottle sure didn’t meet these standards. I was disappointed. goldtwins (4080), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 29, 2006 Poured a hazy light amber color with a small off-white head. Notes of toffee, apples and yeast in the aroma. Aged malt in the flavor. Sweet and a little fruity. Lively feel. JugOPunch (77), Nashua, New Hampshire, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Mar 27, 2006 750ml bottle: A great looking corn colored pour with a nice crusty head. A mild yeasty aroma with malt and hints of citrus. The flavor is yeast and orange and a bit buttery. An outstanding fullness to the body and a creamy mouthfeel. No sign of alcohol. Like most belgian brews it gets better as it warms. Smooth drinkability. Very good. BeerandBlues2 (3216), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 16, 2006 750 mL bottle. Pours straw, hay yellow-gold with a tall rocky white head and sticky lacing. Medium bodied and fizzy but creamy, spicy palate. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA
