Apr 2, 2006 750 ml bottle, corked. I had to use a pair of pliers just to get the cork out. Pours a somewhat cloudy honey color with a hugely over-carbonated head. Strong aroma of yeast and alcohol. Slight citrus in the nose as well. Starts out sweet tasting with lots of cirtus, yeasty in the middle. Then a noticable off-flavor, almost like modelling glue, kicked in. I see this beer is very highly rated, my bottle sure didn’t meet these standards. I was disappointed.

Mar 29, 2006 Poured a hazy light amber color with a small off-white head. Notes of toffee, apples and yeast in the aroma. Aged malt in the flavor. Sweet and a little fruity. Lively feel.

Mar 27, 2006 750ml bottle: A great looking corn colored pour with a nice crusty head. A mild yeasty aroma with malt and hints of citrus. The flavor is yeast and orange and a bit buttery. An outstanding fullness to the body and a creamy mouthfeel. No sign of alcohol. Like most belgian brews it gets better as it warms. Smooth drinkability. Very good.

Mar 16, 2006 750 mL bottle. Pours straw, hay yellow-gold with a tall rocky white head and sticky lacing. Aroma is yeast (barn, dough, earth) and hoppy (flowers, fruit) and malt (straw). Moderate bitterness and acidity, hoppy citrus bitter flavor, sour fruit and yeast, malt notes. Medium bodied and fizzy but creamy, spicy palate.

Mar 15, 2006 pours hazy golden with a decent sized creamt white head. Aroma of sweet malts, citrus, belgian style spices, fruit, and yeast. Flavor is sweet, smooth, fruity, citrusy, with slight bitter hoppy finish. Good brew.

Mar 15, 2006 750ml Bottle. Pours with a hazy orange color with a nice fluffy head. The aroma has asweet orange citrus and fruity yeast with a touch of hops. yeast flavor and malts make up most of the taste with some spice lingering and hops. I enjoyed this beer and it makes a good tripel.

Mar 14, 2006 Amber/orange in colour. White head pours large and has a thin ring which lasts to the end. Some alcohol is present in the flavour and texture. Aroma is yeasty with average hops and slightly malty. Good balance.

Mar 5, 2006 Aroma of alcohol, carmel; hazy golden color. Poured to a large head. Foamy, rather thick mouth feel with tastes of fruit, alcohol and bitterness. Not bad, but not my favorite.
