| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 2, 2006 750 ml bottle, corked. I had to use a pair of pliers just to get the cork out. Pours a somewhat cloudy honey color with a hugely over-carbonated head. Strong aroma of yeast and alcohol. Slight citrus in the nose as well. Starts out sweet tasting with lots of cirtus, yeasty in the middle. Then a noticable off-flavor, almost like modelling glue, kicked in. I see this beer is very highly rated, my bottle sure didn’t meet these standards. I was disappointed. goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA

A mild yeasty aroma with malt and hints of citrus. The flavor is yeast and orange and a bit buttery. An outstanding fullness to the body and a creamy mouthfeel. No sign of alcohol. Like most belgian brews it gets better as it warms. Smooth drinkability. Very good. BeerandBlues2 (3230), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
