| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 1, 2004 Appearance: lovely, bright apricot color, with a mountainous, lush, pillowy cloud of lacey white foam. Pretty, and impressive.
Aroma: sparkles with sugar and spice, soft but pungent and substantive, hints of citrus and other fruits.
Great, buzzing hops greet the tongue, bright, tasty, fruity, dazzling!
Excellent texture: a golden mouth-flooding flavor matches the golden color!
Taste goes on and on, a persistent and prominent sweetness continues, and aids considerably in the flavor and overall experience.
Body’s a bit on the light side, but full of yeast, and an amble helping of malt.
A sparkling, tingling sensation dances on the tastebuds with each and every sip, resonating through the mouth. Light spiciness continues on the palate.
Everything in this tripel is a bit light and moderate, while still stretching towards the sublime!
I almost didn’t want any beer tonight, but made the commitment with this 750ml bottle. I won’t be getting up early in the morning, but it would have been worth it. A very fine abbey tripel!
