| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 25, 2009 In short: A muscular fruity Belgian blonde ale with a nice spicy touch and a strong herbal character. Very nice.
How: Bottle 330ml. Consumed relatively fresh 1 year before expiration date
The look: Clear golden body topped by a medium off-white head
In long: Intriguing nose with spicy notes (ground pepper, dry green herbs, peppermint) and dried fruits. Body is fluffy with a carbonation that is very lively, borderline aggressive. Loads of dried honey, dried tropical fruits, green apples (not tart), peppermint, candi sugar and a truckload of dry grassy hops to balance it out. Short dry bitterness with an herbal spicy finish. Alcohol a little apparent. Wow, what a tasty little surprise this was. A solid beer that is a very good example of the genre. I’d drink this three times a day. Beer is technically a vegetarian meal

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Feb 28, 2009 Consumed about 55. Pours effervescent with thin white head. Quite clear and looks great, but lack luster in flavor. Seems over carbed and static. Not a great palate and nothing to write home about. cfrancis (349), Gloucester, Ontario, Canada
