Poured a slightly dark yellow, gold color with a medium to large sized white head. A large amount of lacing. Aroma of wheat, citrus, must, alcohol, spice and bread. Bursting with flavor. Sweeter than expected with a touch of alcohol. Belgian sugar, wheat, yeast, fruit, banana, with some light spicing in the finish. Also a flavor that I can only liken to vanilla, but not quite. Very drinkable and tasty. I love the style and love this one. I am trying to try all the Belgians that I have been neglecting. Have another beers of theirs in the fridge. temporrari (327), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA

I have probably had it a half dozen times before, I thought I had rated it already. Oh, well. I really prefer to rate beers I have gotten close to already. Looks real nice, plenty of carbonation and it dances while it forms a large and lasting white head. Aroma is spicy. Mild. Flavor is sweet and assertive, and the mouth feel is quite playful due to high effervescence. Nice beer, and a regular drink. [Well it was a regular drink until the only local store that sells it went out of business. Damn it.] mullet2007 (206), St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 20, 2008 Pours a faintly cloudy yellow colour with a finger thick off white head. Nose is light and fruity. Nice citrus notes, and some hints of spices. Very sweet in the mouth, plenty of strong caramel and crystal malts, maybe. Or perhaps that fancy belgian sugar. Either way, very nice. Some of the fruity notes are present in the mouth, both light and dark. And there is a distinct spicy note in the finish. Not spicy like pepper, more spicy like nutmeg maybe, or something like that. It does not feel thin, but it does not feel thick and creamy either, though I do not know if it should, really. Nice Tripel. ILduce (135), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Fresh orange peel and spice dominate the nose. Sweet malt and yeast materialise pleasantly in the taste and hide the alcohol well. Sticky mouthfeel; superbly balanced. Solid all around.
