Indra (1832), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA Oct 13, 2001 Updated: Feb 29, 2004 Aroma is extremely yeasty, with a hint of malt. Appropriately large, fluffy head and vigorous carbonation. Pleasant medium golden color. Slight sedimentation, but the brew remains relatively clear. Interesting orangey, malty taste, followed by some slightly astringent hop flavors. Aftertaste is citrusy. Fruitiness is quite evident. Good.
LooseCannon (660), Norfolk, Virginia, USA Aug 31, 2008 750ml bottle. Pours clear golden in color with white head. Aroma sweet, yeasty and spicey. Taste yeasty, malty and fruity with dry finish Gypsy19 (198), AMERICA RISING, USA Aug 21, 2008 Good, but far from great. A standard Belgian Tripel in the outline of many others. A bit spicy, with dark fruit notions. The 8.5% is well represented with slight esophageal burn, a highlight. Worth a try, yet not the best Tripel. Good bargain though, I should add; Great value at $5.99 for a 750ml. Borresteijn (542), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 14, 2008 Bottle. A fruity, yeasty golden blond tripel with a sweet/sour taste, slight alcohol bitter finish. More than average carbonation. mikalooch (17), , New Jersey, USA Aug 13, 2008 golden orange body with a very frothy white head that sticks around for a while. Smells of fruit and yeast with a hint of nuttyness. Bitter at first, but then sweet and citrus takes over, definite overtones of yeast and alcohol. Overall an above average abbey, just nothing outstanding Wim (754), Turnhout, Belgium Aug 8, 2008 gold coloured sparkling body with a white head a sweet yeasty fruity aroma a sweet fruity yeasty bitter taste with a alcoholic bitter finish
