Hoonerific (14), USA Mar 16, 2008 Had 750ml bottle. Sadly, I had a movie to catch so drank it a little too fast. Definitely not a good fast drinking beer due to the carbonation. Poured orange-amber with a flat white head in a wide-mouthed wine glass. Smelled fruity/spicy/and maybe a little too yeasty. Tasted like it smelled with slight tones of orange and complex hops. Good body, decent finish- maybe a little fuzzy. Would take over anything on American tap any day. But definitely one of my least favorite Belgian beers.
daknole (1126), Plantation, Florida, USA Nov 30, 2008 Bottle. Great tripel. Cloudy gold pour, white head. Aroma is fruity and some yeast and spices mixed in. Flavor is really nice. Yeast, fruit, and is overall a big winner in my book. YUM! a10555 (116), West Chester, Ohio, USA Nov 21, 2008 My wife says it’s delightful with a touch of peppermint.
I say, it’s one of the better triples that I’ve had. It’s good from the beginning to end. It’s not overpowering but the flavors are great. starts with a citrus/floral aroma and then a really smooth spicy finish. will be back. Bhops (230), Dallas, Texas, USA Oct 21, 2008 This was a really good tripel. Pours hazy golden color, thick rocky head that dissipates slowly. Aroma of fruit and alcohol. Flavor to match, with peppery finish. Alcohol comes through but not overpowering like some tripels.
