Commercial Description:
After the Applebocq and the Redbocq, the Brasserie du Bocq is pleased to announce the birth of the Agrumbocq … The idea for the Agrumbocq arose first of all in the mind of our master brewer. Once again, the starting point is our white beer made by top fermentation to which mandarin juice and the natural aromas of grapefruit and lime are added. Its cloudy appearance, its natural pink grapefruit colour, its fine slightly pinkish head and its pleasantly fruity fragrance are certainly going to delight the most delicate palates. A perfect balance is achieved through the sweet and acid taste of the citrus fruit and the slight bitterness that it releases. It is defined as a very light and refreshing beer. You are advised to drink it very cool. It is ideal after sport! It has barely 3% alcohol volume. The Agrumbocq is currently available in kegs and 25-cl bottles.

28th July 2008. I’m a sucker for sweet fruit beers! pale orange white cloudy beer. Sweet mandarin. Grapefruit is noticeable but the lime is very subtle. Crisp and refreshing.

Bottle 25cl. @ home.
Unclear hazy light yellow color with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, white head. Aroma is heavy grapefruit, acidic synthetic sweet, spicy - commen, mandarin shell. Flavor is heavy synthetic sweet mandarin sweet with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20090110]

Bottled. Golden colour, medium beige head. Aroma is orange, some yeast and suger. Flavour is very much the same along with a quite big grassyness in the finihs. Really zesty.

A new beer from Du Bocq brewery which has mandarin, lemon and lime flavourings. This surely cant be classed as a beer, as it tastes and feels like sparkling water mixed with some squash. It is low on alcohol but doesn’t feel even vaguely alcoholic. It is marketed as refreshing on hot days, and was drunk on a hot day, and to be fair didnt taste revolting like some fruit beers. The appearance was carbonated amber, with little to no head, and it tastes exactly as its advertised - citrus piffle

Fluffy transparant-white head, fed by lively carbonated hazy Isabel-coloured liquid. Partly artificial version of grapefruit/orangepeel. Grapefruitpeels (between the parts) getting stronger. Faint sour-sweet and bitter peelhints - in the nose, always. Very sweet, lightly sourish flavour, reminding me of citrus-"enriched" dishwashing liquid, after thinning. No trace of bitterness left, childrens’ sweets-like. Light, spritzy, soft-drinks feel. As terrible as expected.
