ChainGangGuy (1602), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Jun 17, 2007 Appearance: Pours a light, pale golden-hued body with a thin white head.
Smell: Light floral, grassy aroma.
Taste: Atypical for a pilsner: Lightly sweet malt teamed with spicy, floral hops and a crisp, clean finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Mild carbonation.
Drinkability: Aiken Brewing’s Czech Pilsner - a beer I’ve been achin’ to try (and review) for quite some time. CaptainCougar (4664), Rockville, Maryland, USA Mar 20, 2007 Sampled from a growler on 8/26/06: Pours a clear bright golden with thin, wispy lacing. Aroma of mostly dry, lightly sweet pale malt with good authentic Saaz hoppiness. Starts with a lightly sweet pale malty presence and good, lightly bitter fresh Saaz hops. Smooth, balanced and drinkable. goldtwins (3740), Nesconset, New York, USA Sep 6, 2006 Growler hand delivered by the brewer. Poured a lightly hazed yellow color. Nice floral notes with a decent malt balance. Also notes of candy and gum. Malty flavor had a mild floral taste to it and a light bitter finish. Shag (1787), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA Sep 2, 2006 A nice pilsner here. A grassy and lemon aroma. A cloudy yellow appearance with a moderate head. The flavor was somewhat sweet with a grassy and saaz hop flavor. Just what you would look for in a pils.
