Almost no head though. No idea how long this was in the growler. Nose is roasted malts, chocolate, and bitter coffee. Taste is dark chocolate, roasted malts, and coffee. Body is medium with light to no carbonation. Ends with more roasted malts, dark chocolate coffee and subtle hop bitterness. shrubber85 (2912), Wallhalben, Germany

Very, very smooth - chickory, cocoa, lightly sweet (lactose?), mild coffee. Excellent pH. Some pruney fruit. Long building bitter finish. Not much CO2. A fine brewpub offering, but more of a stout.
