Mar 18, 2004 (Draught) Pours a dark brown color with a small tan head. Has a cocoa and coffee aroma. Flavor of chocolate, coffee, and little toffee.

Apr 27, 2004 On tap at the BBB in Augusta: Nice dark color with thick tan head. Aroma is rich and roasty with an emphasis on malt. Very smooth, caramely sweet and full body with a roasted lingering finish. A nice porter.

Apr 7, 2004 Black with tan head & lacing. The aroma has some old hops along with light roastyness and a creamy mocha flavor. Very refreshing porter with balance & slight oxidation. Alcohol bite.

Apr 13, 2008 Growler on St. Patrick’s Day. I was told this was Aiken Porter. Dark pour. Almost no head though. No idea how long this was in the growler. Nose is roasted malts, chocolate, and bitter coffee. Taste is dark chocolate, roasted malts, and coffee. Body is medium with light to no carbonation. Ends with more roasted malts, dark chocolate coffee and subtle hop bitterness.

Apr 22, 2006 Updated: Jul 5, 2006Tap. Coffee, chocolate and ash aroma. Opaque black-brown color with small film of a head.. Smooth dark chocolate flavor with a mild astringent finish. Very full flavored porter - very well made.

Apr 8, 2004 This was overall a pretty tasty porter. Nice lingering flavors of chocolate mocha, with some toasted malt, and a surprising bit of hops in there as well. Tasty.

Nov 4, 2003 Nice Cascade stout aroma. Pitchy with a silky khaki head. Very, very smooth - chickory, cocoa, lightly sweet (lactose?), mild coffee. Excellent pH. Some pruney fruit. Long building bitter finish. Not much CO2. A fine brewpub offering, but more of a stout.
