Growler on St. Patrick’s Day. I was told this was Aiken Porter. Dark pour. Almost no head though. No idea how long this was in the growler. Nose is roasted malts, chocolate, and bitter coffee. Taste is dark chocolate, roasted malts, and coffee. Body is medium with light to no carbonation. Ends with more roasted malts, dark chocolate coffee and subtle hop bitterness.

Jun 5, 2008 This was kind of a disappointment. Very light bodied with very small carbonation levels, very tame roastiness with small amounts of chocolate and a hint of dark roasted coffee. Very thin and bland.

Dec 6, 2007 GABF. Roasty aromas off this dark porter. Flavors fell off a bit. Some coffee, maybe, but not a lot. Somewhat dissapointing

Sep 21, 2007 Draft. Opaque black with a creamy and lasting head. Aroma of earthy-spiced chocolate and coffee. Flavors of chicory coffee, chocolate, charred wood, and earthy oak. Light-medium bodied, smooth and dryish.
