Ruby red with off white head and lace. Cherries, sweet malt and a slight earthiness. Abv, sweet caramel, and a nice bitter finish make up the flavor. Medium bodied with good carbonation.

Draft pint at the brewpub. Clear, darkish brown with a small ring of bubbles. Light aroma is earthy toffee. Flavor is molasses, earthy grain, light alcohol, hints of bubblegum. Some musty grass-woodsy bittering also. Medium body is chewy but not syrupy, smooth with light carbonation, and slightly tingly and dryish. Nice drips of lacing left behind.

on tap-pours a light tan head and mahogany color. Aroma is sweet medium malt-toffee, peat. Taste is lots of peat/smoky, sweet medium malt-toffee, earthy hops, some alcohol. Complex sipper, nice.

Golden brown. Earthy aroma with light brown sugar notes. Nice, full rich character. Abundant maltiness and a hint of smoke.

Deep amber with nice tan head. Ouch! More diacetyl! Doh! Overpowering butter. Soft, creamy carbonation. Sweet, overripe apple flavors are pretty nice but the diacetyl is not as bad in the flavors as the aromas. Falls a bit thin in the finish but feels good in the belly.

Tap. Wood smoke and barnyard yeast aroma. Cloudy dark brown-red color with minimal head. Funky barnyard yeast and wood smoke malt flavor - mellows as the beer warms (served a bit too cold). Moderate bitter finish. Interesting beer - has a bit of a wild yeast flavor blended with a light smokey malt.
