Feb 7, 2009 Golden amber-brown. Toasty, caramelly nose. Lots of rich earthy caramel character. Nicely made - rich and chewy for the style.

Apr 21, 2007 Growler courtesy of kp sampled on 1/4/07: Pours a slightly hazy copper red with a thin, wispy white head. Aroma of lightly sweet, toasty crystal malts and a mild citrusy hoppiness. Body starts with a lightly sweet toasty, earthy maltiness toward a blander bittersweet finish. An average red ale.

Jan 10, 2007 Growler. Poured a hazy dark orange copper color with a small off-white head. The aroma was mildly hoppy with notes of oranges and some citrus with a sweet candy malt underneath. Malty cereal flavor with some citrus and sweet fruit. There was a hint of tartness on the finish.

Apr 22, 2006 Tap. Caramel/toffee malt and light hops aroma. Reddish amber color with moderate head - very pretty. Creamy caramel malt flavor with a mild hops finish. Very good.

Feb 6, 2009 Clear amber, with small tan head. Diacetyl aroma is off-putting but there is some nuttiness beneath. Soft carbonation. Major butter bomb and way too sweet too. Nutty, and has either seen better days or is not living up to its potential.
