This is one of those beers that has the potential to be great, but just slips and falls by the way side. This is just lacking a few key ingredients. It really needs a strong malt character to back up the flavor. Just too light for my taste.

Jun 5, 2008 Rich toasted malts in the nose and in the flavor. A hint of caramel, and some sweet honey nuttiness. On the border of being medium bodied, light and crisp on the palate. Really easy to drink.

Sep 21, 2007 Updated: Sep 16, 2008Draft. Clear amber with a creamy head that has good retention. Dried, toasted nut and yeast aroma. Flavor is slightly sweet toasted nut that has those unique British dry, earthy hop and yeast flavors that increase slightly in the middle and finish. Light-medium body and dry palate.

clear amber, wispy beige head with a bit of lace, light sweet biscuit malt flavor with a nice nutty character, good light bitter finish

Apr 21, 2007 Growler courtesy of kp sampled on 1/4/07: Pours a slightly hazy copper red with a thin, wispy white head. Aroma of lightly sweet, toasty crystal malts and a mild citrusy hoppiness. Body starts with a lightly sweet toasty, earthy maltiness toward a blander bittersweet finish. An average red ale.

Jan 16, 2007 Hazy dark amber color with off white head. Aroma is light malts. Flavor is malty caramel with slight bitter hop finish.
