It’s a dark amber beer with a small head. The aroma is weird, sour barnyard, earth and cellar. I find the same impressions in the flavour. Supposedly when you buy one of these beers a part of the money is given to humanitarian work in the Hohoe province in Ghana - but quite honestly, I would prefer to donate the whole amount just to escape drinking this beer - yuck!!!

Bottled. Copper coloured, white nice head. Aroma dominated by skunked hops and some weak caramellish notes. Flavour is caramel, malts and hops in a weird, harsh mix.

Bottled
Amber color, creamy off-white head. Malty, cardboard aroma with notes of caramel. Not very strong nose. Carbonated, light, sweetish in the beginning then more like harsh and dry. Belgian/German bulk dark lager.

Brussels, Cafe Delirium, Nov 2004. Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted bread/grain), lightly hoppy (flowers). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Bit better than expected, although I thought this was actually brewed in Africa. Appears it’s just another one like Mongozo and Dju Dju.

Sold under private label, but it must be this beer: alcohol % fits and I know this beer was from Strubbe. Large bottle. Thick long lasting frothy head. Caramel and cacao, cinnamon. Sweetish with some porto flavors, probably because of ageing, this bottle was pretty old.Medium to full bodied, a bit sticky and a bit too much cinnamon.

This is yet another boring beer. Pretty dry finish.

Hmm... my beer said Akosombo (M. Berg..?) Reddish colour with a great head. Fresh flavour, sweat finish and malty aftertaste.

A clear red beer with a beutiful beige head. The aroma is sweet spicy between which are coriander. The flavor is very sweet and spicy and the end is dry. Surprisingly good.
